No access

My subscription says I have Digital access to Popular Science and I do not. I entered my account number & email as instructed in the app and nothing. I also emailed Popular Science about the problem and no response after a week. Get with the program PopSci!

Landscape?

While I applaud PS for allowing print subscribers access to digital, I am disappointed one cant read articles in landscape view.

Cant delete issues

The issues cannot be deleted. Had to remove whole app.

Still broken, canceling my subscription

Latest update is still broken. Cant access any issues. Two months and Ive not been able to use the app. This is ridiculous, Im canceling my subscription.

Broken for 2 months and counting

Since the iOS 8 update, every time I try to open an issue the app crashes, thus becoming completely useless. This kind of things can happen, but they are supposed to be fixed in less than 2 weeks when they do, 2 months means Popular Science is not giving its digital subscribers enough importance. For a magazine talking about science and technology in 2014, that is pretty dumb.

Wont Open

I paid for the magazine subscription, but cant read any issues because every time it tries to open it fails. It shows I have the latest "bug fixes", yet begins to open and promptly goes away.

Crashes

App crashes if you enter your subscription information. Deleted app and reloaded, same effect... Useless.

On again, off again

I read the magazine over a period of time, not at one sitting. Whenever I return, and wish to pick up where I left off, I am brought to the cover page. I then have to search to locate the last story read, instead of being taken there by the software. This is happened in the past, where it worked, then it didnt, etc.

Keep losing spot left off

I thought it was just a newsstand issue. Turns out popular science just loses track of where you left off last. That is enough to stop me from wanting to keep reading.

Every time I try to log in, the app crashes. I even tried reinstalling it.

Latest update lost my subscription

After the 18 Feb update I no longer can access my subscription, which runs through July. Trying to “Restore All Purchases” ends with an error message after several minutes of gear spinning. I also still hate the fact that I can no longer read the articles in landscape mode.

The new Layout

Prior versions of Popular Science had the best magazine layout of any iPad magazine, now every page simply looks like it was scanned from the print issue. It looks horrible now, especially on the iPad mini, the text is just too small.

Incompetence at work

How can a magazine purposefully cut thousands of subscribers? Is Apple giving management a kickback to FORCE customers to buy an iPad air? Im speechless. Id like to see the ROI on this decision. Ive had the iPad subscription since its first issue, and it has always been one of the best apps in the industry. What a way to end it.

Horrible update

Absolutely the worst update. I enjoyed previous reading experience with normal fonts and interactive pages, easy navigation, simple layout. Now it is all gone. Fonts are way too small, it feels like you are reading scanned magazine in pdf format, constantly zooming in on small fonts, images are low quality as well. It really wasnt a problem to download 500mb for one issue, now its 30mb of unreadable pages. If issue wont get resolved, Im canceling my subscription.

Better

The subscription is way cheaper and you get paper copies with it. If you want to cancel you old subscription just go to Settings > iTunes & App Store > Click on your Apple ID > View Apple ID > Subscriptions > Manage

Horrific electronic magazine adaptation

The latest update continues Popular Sciences downward fall toward being the worst implementation of an electronic magazine Ive ever seen. Starting with losing my subscription information, Then finding that it had lost my downloaded issues, then, once I get back to where I was before the update, finding the new layout... On my iPad, the fonts in the articles are now about 4 point -- unreadable. Its like the articles are an afterthought packed between the full-page advertisements. What thought process led to the idea of putting the photo captions on a different page than the photos is also a mystery. The bar is not set very high here --please fix the layout so it is possible to read the magazine. Thats all Im asking for!

It looks like the pdf layout thing was only for older issues. New issue looks and acts as before, I can live with that.

Terrible update

It all started going south when the possibility to read portrait or landscape mode was eliminated. Since then, every change you made kept making the experience worse. What happened to the interactive experience? When did the state of the art e-magazine turn to a simple scanned document? I will cancel my subscription if you dont go back to how it was before the new editor in chief... and I dont think Ill be the only one.

A RIPOFF

After multiple attempts to resolve my problem of not being able to download issues I have given up. I was only able to read 6 issues this year. Dont bother with this, the support is horrible.
