Again I have paid for this issue and it the thing wont let me read it. Please fix!!!

Bought a subscription, but the app is slow on the iPad 3. Scrolling is jerky and page turning lags. But the number one reason I dont get around to actually enjoying the issues is that I literally have to sit with the app open for the entire 600MB download. If I try to do anything else during the download it stops. Sometimes it successfully resumes, and sometimes not. I have a 3Mbps home DSL connection so this is a major pain as it is a very long download and generally gets split over several sessions. Ive started downloading the last issue about four or five times and never end up finishing it. I always get called away before it finishes and after three or four resumes it usually starts over for some reason. At least Wired lets you read during the download. Anyway, lots of people have slower connections than mine so this should be taken into account. Tying the device up for the whole download is an unacceptable solution.

Keeps crashing and takes forever to load the mag. I have subscriptions to nat geo and the economist on my iPad - those work waaaayyyy better.

I have a 28 m/bit (download rate) Internet connection... Even wirelessly, speed-tests always indicate awesome download speeds... EXCEPT for PopSci edition downloads! They are ridiculously slow. My iPad 2 routinely goes to "sleep" while attempting to download the latest edition, causing the download to stop. Downloads only appear to progress when the magazine app is active on the screen. Switching to another app causes the download to stop until the magazine is brought back into focus. Cannot even read OLD PopSci editions while downloading, basically making the iPad completely unusable for the extremely long download duration. (Sometimes upwards of two hours!) I love PopSci, but in this day & age, there MUST be a way to reduce the huge inconvenience of downloading new editions. Im considering canceling my subscription until this severe flaw is resolved.

Almost picked up a printed copy at the store but decided to go with an iPad subscription ... bad decision. Not sure about previous or future issues but the November issue crashes constantly to the point where it is impossible to read. Very disappointing! DO NOT BUY THIS ISSUE unless it is updated Popular Science: Please fix and reissue or refund the purchase price and withdraw the issue.

I was going on a plane and I decided to get an issue to read, I spent 8 dollars on it, downloaded it, and finally got on the plane but I was unable to open the magazine. Thinking it was maybe just slow I plugged my iPad in and left it where I was staying while I toured for a couple hours, came back to a loading wheel and just gave up.

Readability and stability of the app is a problem. November issue crashes continually and cant be read. Download size is getting unmanageable. Too many animations (mostly in the advertisements) which is spoiling an otherwise excellent magazine. Updated for December 2012 Somewhat more stable but still crashes every 6-8pages. Disappointed. Will not renew.

To download an issue of the mag it takes forever. Will time out on down load so you have to continually watch it and repress down load to continue the download. It can take up to 10 represses to get issue. Which can be up to an hr long or more. Not impressed.

So much for update fixing the stability issues like the email from PopSci promised. Pop Mech keeps getting better and PopSci keeps getting worst. Once I got the most recent issue downloaded I havent gotten past the 3rd page because it constantly crashes. I want my money back or a few months added to my subscription. Why oh why did I get an annual subscription? Dont make the same mistake I made.

Massive download per magazine, no optimization.... And then, I cant even open the issue I bought... App just constantly spins in load mode. Waste of money and time. Disappointed.

I paid for a year subscription, but after downloading first issue and trying to open the little circle just spins and spins but never opens? I really like this magazine so if you cant provide a digital version. You better fix the issue or send me the print version.

paid for one year, got the Jan.2013 issue and Feb does not load. A hopeless subscription, in my view, unless something changes...

Bought a one year subscription, the January edition worked well, but now every time I try to open the February edition the app freezes while loading it. If this is not fixed can I get a refund?

This App is a pure scrap Enable to cancel mi subscription . I must cancel mi credit cart :(

For the december 2012 one i keep getting an encounter an error close To the end of the download but the other month Magazines work

Where is my june issue???? My subscription finish in july….. U better get your act together! Cant have access to my account….. What is going on!?!?

Will no June 2013 issue and iTunes unwilling to resolve. Think twice before buying this subscription

June 4 today, june issue has been on store shelf for days now, but the itune copy is still not availabel. Popular Science does not respones to any request. Email address is not acepting mails, not sure if they are still in mobile emagazine business, itune should take the app down. Please provide content or refund, I will try their facebook site and forum for my concern. Think twice before subscribe or pay for their service.
